On This Day 23rd of DEC
1688; As part of the Glorious Revolution to overthrow King James II of England (James VII of Scotland),
the KIng fled to Paris.
He was deposed in favour of his nephew, William of Orange and his daughter Mary.
The Glorious Revolution was all about protestant v catholic, Holland v France!
Or! was it a family feud in the pursuit of power - which overtime has backfired...
It was just recent - 2015 - the an English Monarch could be a catholic, or even marry one.
Is it not strange that in the battle for minds; imaginary becomes more than virtual reality
As an Agnostic atheist, 'Goddamn' GOSH
1905; The earliest recorded British beauty show was held at Newcastle Upon Tyne, in the
north-east of England.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - it's grim up north.
He wrote with just an innuendo of carting nutty slack to the Toon.
All roads lead to Rome; and all loads lead to London -no pun intended.
HS2 is heading up North - to us even sometimes colder Northerners it's the muddy midlands.
If you don't think that the NE. is a backwater; you must be a confirmed greedy git...GOSH
1987; The first ‘Scrooge’ award by the Low Pay Unit was made to a Wiltshire stable-owner
who paid a qualified groom only £28 a week.
The runner-up was a doctor employing a telephonist for 30p an hour.
The prize was a copy of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.
A Xmas Carol was written in the era of victorian value workhouses.
Ask the digital era tax haven multi-nationals, 'where's the workhouse gone' GOSH
Millionaire greedy git cabinet minister Nadhim Zahawi 'accidently' claimed almost £6,000/annum to heat the
riding stables business of his second home.
He also unhesitatingly voted to make the disabled of the UK £30/week worse off.
Why did spuriously spinning himself as 'one of the working class friendly' beardie branson sue the
cash starved NHS!
While the times are changing; the greedy gits are grabbing and gaining.
In the second year of the first Labour government; labour MP's were wearing top hats and sending
their kids to private school...
Never worn a top hat; but our kid won a grant for private school...Tax free of course.
The working class can kiss my ass; I've got the foremans job at last...
A week is along time in politics...
A week is a short time in life on the streets, when one gets older...
In this era of inequality; vote for me and I'll set you free, he gleamed with glee.
A bomb has exploded outside a Greek court building - in the era of uncertainty between haves and
have-nots - anybody/thing moves and the establishment gets it.
In the times of many nation states being regarded as 50/50 - by their more than willing MSM chums
over multi-national domination no matter what the previous political persuasion;
do party leaders really have to compromise; ask a lib dem!

Treaty of Ghent.
Ghent is in Belgium - a member of the EU.
Never been to Ghent GOSH
1914; World War 1 - Not a shot was fired, as German & British soldiers played football & handed out drinks,
cigars & souvenirs.
It was possibly the most poignant moment of the 'Great War'.
For several days afterwards the two sides appeared reluctant to fire on the men they had met
face to face.
Will history ever teach us the futility of war?
Some men (and now women)still live and die young for gore GOSH
1914 A German monoplane dropped a single bomb on Dover, the first ever to be dropped on British soil.
It landed on a rectory garden lawn and blew out the house windows.
Never ever forget that one of the main founding aims of the EU was to prevent another war in Europe.
Never ever forget - something of which the Americans are well aware - The Mckinder Concept...
He who rules the heartland of Europe; rules the world...
Where's me trading block gone GOSH.
1922; The BBC broadcast 'The Truth About Father Christmas' by Phillis M Twigg.
The first play written for radio in Britain.
Much is now made of the neutrality of the BBC.
Institutional racism! is the BBC institutionally bias
You bet its under attack budget it is.
If the BBC news - at least - hasn't been subtly subverted to the right,
I'll gargle with the gobbledygook NO GOSH
The BBC is about as independent as a think tank - most; in developed nation states are sponsored by
the private greedy git sector
Think tank spokespeople are coached to be more neutral sounding than party politicians.
Is blue the colour of your undercover garter GOSH
All facets of Greek public life are now under monetary review (privatisation) due to the loans fiasco.

Also known as the 'stone of destiny'; it now officially - in restored bits - lies in

TUES 26th DEC 2017
On This Day 26th of DEC
1874; Boxing Day was officially recognized in Britain as a Bank Holiday.
The name originates from the custom of Christmas boxes being given to a lord's serfs and
dates back to the middle ages.
And! you thought it was the rich making the servants box up the unwanted Xmas pressies.
Merry Grumble GOSH
Here's a few - modern and past - words on serf...
1. A member of the lowest feudal class, legally bound to a landed estate and required to
perform labor for the lord of that estate in exchange for a personal allotment of land.
2. An agricultural laborer under various similar systems, especially in Russia and eastern Europe
in the 1700s and 1800s.
3. A person in bondage or servitude.
Being a serf sucks...
1. One who is privately employed to perform domestic services.
2. One who is publicly employed to perform services, as for a government.
3. One who expresses submission, recognizance, or debt to another: your obedient servant.
When black slaves became illegal; the white and 'coloured' slave owners were compensated by the Government.
The record shows some far fetching facts - Though mainly the really well off; clergymen and the well off
working class from all parts of this green and pleasant land had been slave owners...
The battle for the minds of men - and now women - is corruptly complicated by the love of money...
In this era of haves and have-nots being a menial is back on the make money menu...
The manipulator of menials today is colour and nation state blind...
Let's all look the other way; it's only 49 shades of grey GOSH
Joining the EU dragged Greece into the 'developed world'.

highly controversial book The Origin of Species which fuelled the 'creation versus evolution' debate.
In recognition of Darwin's outstanding work, he was buried in Westminster Abbey, next to his friend

be nearer GOD
1918; A British sovereign welcomed an American President to Britain for the first time when
King George V and Queen Mary met President and Mrs. Wilson at Charing Cross Railway Station.

golf courses, north of the border, down/up Scotland way.
Wonder if by then there will be another wall; Begorrah GOSH
1945; The World Bank and International Monetary Fund were created with the signing of an agreement
by 29 nations; after the second world war; leveraged loans for investment.
The World Bank Group is even bigger; with five different investment organisations.
Which nation state dominates both set ups?
Here's a clue...
The head honchos have been by far Americans; or appointed by an American President.

Greece is way down low in the nation state status of the World Bank (Group).
The rise of the ECB. (European Central bank) and loans to Greece have complicated things financial.

This was a time of, death but no taxes; what goes around... comes around; for some...

The divine right and/of GOD GOSH

Wonder if the Eastern Block countries can afford a good brandy to get em going GOSH
